During the 1999 Dark Shadows Festival held at the Marriott World Trade Center, David read poems from his then new poetry and photo book, In and Out of the Shadows. Below are links to video clips of David reading poems from that collection.

David also took the stage with co-star John Karlen (Willie Loomis) during the festivities. Their response to hearing "Quentin's Theme" was rather amusing.
