David Selby appeared as Beauregard in the Jerry Herman musical Mame presented by the Cabrillo Music Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, California on November 1-10. The title role was played by Amanda McBroom, who is perhaps best known for penning "The Rose," which was recorded by Bette Midler for the film of the same name and later became a country hit for Conway Twitty.

WHAT:  Cabrillo Music Theatre launches its 2002/2003 Season of Dreams with the smash Broadway musical, Mame, starring Amanda McBroom.  This story, based on the novel “Auntie Mame” by Patrick Dennis, follows Mame through American History on a diet of champagne and caviar.   

WHO:  Cabrillo Music Theatre.  Directed and Choreographed by Jon Engstrom, Music Direction by Ilana Eden, and Produced by Rob O’Neill for Cabrillo Music Theatre.

WHEN:  November 1 – 10, 2002.   Show Times are Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm with matinees at 2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
