Up the Sandbox

In 1972, David Selby co-starred with Barbra Streisand in Up the Sandbox, based on the novel by Anne Richardson Roiphe. Streisand plays Margaret Reynolds, a housewife who has a number of bizarre fantasies as she tries to balance her own needs and goals with those of her children and her husband Paul, played by David Selby.

Up the Sandbox is available on VHS, and it was released on DVD in July 2003. The DVD includes two feature-length commentaries by Barbra Streisand and director Irvin Kershner. Streisand does not refer specifically to Selby in her commentary, but Kershner does.
