Dan Curtis is the creator of Dark Shadows. Below are some of his other film and television projects.

Burnt Offerings (1976) - Starring Oliver Reed and Karen Black. VHS and DVD.

Come Die With Me (1974) - Eileen Brennan plays a housekeeper who blackmails the man she secretly loves into having an affair. Features an appearance by Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans). VHS.

The Dan Curtis Macabre Collection - Four films from Dark Shadows creator Dan Curtis are included in this 4-disc DVD set:

  • Dracula (1973) starring Jack Palance

  • The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1968) starring Jack Palance

  • The Picture of Dorian Grey (1973) starring Shane Briant with John Karlen

  • The Turn of the Screw (1974) starring Lynn Redgrave with Kathryn Leigh Scott

A Darkness at Blaisedon (1969) - An ABC pilot for a nighttime series modeled after Dark Shadows. Louis Edmonds (Roger Collins) and Thayer David (Prof. Stokes) appear. VHS.

Dead of Night (1977) - A horror trilogy. VHS.

Dracula (1973) /The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1968) - This DVD double feature of two films starring Jack Palance was released on October 3, 2000. It includes interviews with Curtis and Palance. DVD.

Dracula (1973) - Directed by Dan Curtis and starring Jack Palance. VHS and DVD.

Frankenstein (1973) - Stars Robert Foxworth, who is probably best known for his work on Falcon Crest. VHS.

Intruders (1992) - Starring Richard Crenna. VHS.

The Invasion of Carol Enders (1974) - Meredith Baxter stars in this film that includes an appearance by John Karlen (Willie Loomis). VHS.

The Last Ride of the Dalton Gang (1979) - Stars Cliff Potts, Randy Quaid, Larry Wilcox, Bo Hopkins, and Dale Robertson. John Karlen (Willie Loomis) also appears in this made for television movie as Charlie Powers. DVD.

The Long Days of Summer (1980) - The sequel to When Every Day was the Fourth of July starring Dean Jones, John Karlen (Willie Loomis), and Michael McGuire (Judah Zachary). Winner of a Golden Halo Award. VHS.

The Love Letter (1998) - First broadcast on network television in 1998 as a Hallmark Hall of Fame production, The Love Letter was directed and scored by the team that brought us Dark Shadows -- Dan Curtis and Robert Cobert. The film stars Campbell Scott and Jennifer Jason Leigh and focuses on a love affair that spans from the Civil War era to the modern day. VHS and DVD.

The Night Stalker/The Night Strangler (1973)  - Both of director Dan Curtis' Night Stalker films starring Darren McGavin have been released on a single DVD. DVD.

The Night Stalker (1972) - Darren McGavin stars as Carl Kolchack. VHS.

The Night Strangler (1973) - The second of two films starring Darren McGavin as Carl Kolchak. VHS.

Nightmare at 43 Hillcrest (1974) - Jim Hutton stars in the story of a family who has heroin planted in their home by an unscrupulous police commissioner. VHS.

The Picture of Dorian Gray (1973) - This film stars Shane Briant as the title character. John Karlen (Willie Loomis) also appears in it. VHS and DVD.

Scream of the Wolf (1974) - This made-for-television movie features Peter Graves. VHS and DVD.

Shadow of Fear (19??) - Anjanette Comer, Claude Akins, and Tom Selleck star in this film. VHS.

The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1968) - This film starring Jack Palance was nominated for six Emmy awards. VHS and DVD.

Trilogy of Terror (1975) - Karen Black stars in all three stories in this classic horror trilogy. VHS and DVD.

Trilogy of Terror II (1996) - Sequel starring Lysette Anthony, who played the role of Angelique in the 1991 Dark Shadows revival series. VHS.

The Turn of The Screw (1974) - This film based on the Henry James story stars Lynn Redgrave as the governess. Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans) also appears.  VHS and DVD.

When Every Day Was the Fourth of July (1978) - An attorney defends a deaf-mute veteran who has been falsely accused of murder. Stars Dean Jones. The Long Days of Summer is the sequel to this film. VHS.

War and Remembrance (1988) - Sequel to The Winds of War.

The Winds of War (1983) - Television miniseries based on Herman Wouk's novel. Stars Robert Mitchum. VHS. and DVD.
